Flintlock marine pistol

The lock is unadorned except for a signature; the inner side of the lock plate is stamped with LC, the stock with JV. The barrel is chiseled with a large emblem consisting of two crossed anchors with the letters A, O, D and M in between; at the bottom stamped with an undecipherable mark and a globe with a cross above a U or a horseshoe; the sight bead is of brass. The stock is simply carved. The brass furniture includes, among other things, a drawer band, an S-shaped screw plate, an unadorned oval thumb plate attached with two brass nails, and a stock cap with long spurs, a relief edge and an unadorned stock plate; the ramrod is of steel.
