Heart guard

Hartsvanger or hunting sword named. The asymmetrical hilt has a greened ivory grip in the form of the handle of a knife with three decorative knobs as if they were rivets, and is fitted with silver, including a pommel, sawn out and engraved to look like a bush of curly foliage, and a quillon that ends on both sides in a bird's head. The curved blade is etched on both sides with a signature framed by arabesques and has a broad fuller, etched at the top with a fruit garland between leafy vines, and a narrower à la Montmorency.
