About this work

Sinclair saber. The hilt has a flattened, pyramid-shaped pommel incised with diagonal lines; the wooden grip is wrapped with brass wire and has narrow braided grip rings at the top and bottom; the basket hilt consists of bars with a knob at the end with a small knob on it; the horizontal, lobed plate is soldered to the quillon block and pierced with two round holes. The single-edged blade is curved and suddenly springs in to widen again further on; fitted with a narrow fuller à la Montmorency.
