About this work

Sabre of the Gardes du Corps of the Stadtholder 1794. Last model, executed as a pallas (straight blade) of the sabres of the mounted squadron of the Gardes du Corps (bodyguard of the Stadtholder). Yellow copper hilt with blued and gilded blade on which, among others, the etched monogram PVO (Prince of Orange) was applied. The blade is dated 1794. The following year the regiment Gardes du Corps was disbanded.
