Flint Belt Pistol, Navy or Army

Flint belt pistol or thunder pistol for navy or army; from a set of four belt pistols. The screw of the lock is pierced and has a slit; the lock plate is unfinished except for a signature. The barrel starts straight and round, narrows slightly towards the middle, then widens and becomes oval towards the muzzle; the barrel is stamped on top with the letters LC under a crown and RD, and with an A at the bottom. The stock is simply carved and ends in a solid wooden butt; opposite the lock, the number 1[..]90 is stamped; in the barrel recess, an iron spring is attached to prevent the steel ramrod from falling out. Except for the iron belt hook, the furniture is of brass and includes a loading band and a ramrod case.
