Flint belt pistol

Belt pistol for the States Army or the States Navy, made by the National Gun Factory in Culemborg; the pistol comes from the same series as NG-2002-23-72. The lock is blued; the lockplate is marked with a crowned shield with the name KULENBURG, and stamped on the inside with an X and NE. The barrel is blued and fitted with a wide band with rings at the rear; stamped at the rear with MD, LD, CK.. and CN4; the front sight is brass. The stock is simply carved with, among other things, radial lines. Apart from an iron belt hook, the furniture is brass and consists of a band, a ramrod tube, an unadorned oval thumbplate and the trigger guard; the wooden ramrod is fitted with an iron cap.
