About this work

Album leaf with nine photographs of Javanese regents, their sons, and a wife. Central oval portrait of the painter Raden Saleh. Further: the regent of Rembang; Raden Adipati Wira Nata Kesoema, regent of Bandoeng; the regent of Cheribon and his wife; the sons of the regent of Semarang; Raden Adipati Ario Wirjodinegoro, regent of Pekalongan, with his sons. Part of the second green photo album with photographs of Java, formerly owned by pharmacist Specht-Grijp, who returned to the Netherlands from Batavia in 1865.
