About this work

A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) in his left hand. In his left hand, besides the musket, a fork (musket fork) and a burning match. With his right hand, he grasps this match. This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
