About this work
A soldier, full-length, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with both hands to his mouth and blowing over it to remove any powder that may have fallen outside the pan (the powder reservoir). In his left hand, besides the barrel of the musket, a fork (musket fork) and a burning match. This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
