About this work

A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) in his left hand at his left thigh, the barrel angled upward. In his left hand, besides the musket, a fork (musket fork). With his right hand, he opens one of the powder cartridges on his bandolier. This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
