A soldier on guard, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) with his right hand, the barrel pointing diagonally upward. He places the barrel with his left hand, which also holds a burning match, onto his fork (musket fork). This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
