About this work

View of the farm Winterhoek. The northern corner of the Land van Waveren was known by the same name. In the background the Groot-Winterhoekberge. Drawing made during the second journey of Hendrik Swellengrebel, to the northeast of the Cape Colony, 10 September - 26 December 1776. According to the travel journal, the party was at these mountains and farm around mid-September 1776.
