About this work

Round wooden shaft painted in black, red, yellow and green with depictions of Boddhisattvas, human figures and geometric motifs. Bottom of shaft has iron cone-shaped with scalloped edge and tapering to a blunt square point. Wide blade tapering to a sharp point, with four lips. Blade is richly decorated in relief with Boddhisattvas and flower and leaf motifs. Centrally in blade vertical indentations.
