About this work

Round wooden shaft painted in black, red, yellow and green with depictions of Boddhisattvas, human figures and geometric motifs. Bottom of shaft and casing with horizontal indentations tapering to an oval point. Casing has pointed upper edge. Narrow blade tapering to a sharp point. The four lips are without decoration and, alternating, different in length. The base of the blade is decorated with vines, in relief, gilding and rubies. The blade is decorated with Boddhisattva figure and geometric motifs, continuing into a centrally located simplified flower motif. Lower part of blade is on the end sides decorated with rubies.
