About this work
Bronze muzzleloader on a trunnion. The barrel has a flower-shaped muzzle, the middle section is round, and the rear section is octagonal. The tail is hollow for a wooden ramrod; a rattan binding around the tail. On either side of the touchhole a square knob for a touchhole cover. In front of the touchhole a rhomboid ornament with a ramrod stop, and at the muzzle a raised grain with a slit. The eyes of the trunnion are forged entirely around the trunnion pins so that the piece cannot be lifted out of the trunnion.
