About this work
Bronze lilla, decorated with triangular leaf ornaments at the mouths and touchholes, without handles. Originating from the heads of Lahakia, Baik, and Biroe (South Coast of New Guinea), forming part of the fine imposed on them for the murder in 1896 of some crew members of the English cutter Lizzie.
