About this work
Model of a part of a hemispherical gun turret, on a baseboard. The outer shell consists of three of the total twenty-six segments; the inner shell is built up of horizontal plates. At three-quarters height, a firing port is provided, and the inner shell is thickened at that point. The outer segments do not meet at the top, leaving a circular opening. Scale 1:5 (derived).
