About this work
Half-model of a sixteen-sided gun turret, on a baseboard. The outer shell consists of vertical segments representing armor plates, with a firing port at three-quarters height, widening inward. The inner wall is wooden and has a circular inner diameter. Inside, the firing ports can be closed with armor plates that slide back and forth between rails against the wall. Heavy wooden beams reinforce the bottom and top of the turret around. The model shows all bolts running through the armor plates and inner wall. Scale 1:10 (scale on model).
