About this work

Model of a Part of the Stern of a Wooden Double-Screw Steamship (Starboard Side), on a Baseboard. The Model Shows the Keel, the Frames with a Number of Planking Courses and a Part of the Sheathing, a Metal Plating Between the Planking and the Frames at the Propeller Shaft Passage, Two Metal Bulkheads Inside, the Propeller Shaft with a Mangin Propeller. The Metal Plating and Bulkheads Are Meant to Make the Shaft Passage Watertight. The Packing of the Shaft Is in a Thick Wooden Block. The Propeller Shaft Can Be Turned with a Handle.
