About this work
Model of a hand-powered catamaran. The two floats are connected at the ends by battens and each has a place for a driver. The propulsion mechanism consists of a single paddle wheel with counterweights, set in motion by hand cranks on each side. Both floats have a rudder, whose tillers are connected by a hinged rod; they are operated by a steering tackle running over pulleys.
