About this work

Technical model. Over-nailed sharp-gated sloop, round-spant with keel keels, the sheer rising strongly at both ends. Double-banked: twelve oars for five oar-locks, connected by a longitudinally placed plank; fore and aft platforms. Side oar-locks, filled with cork at the bottom, against the oar-locker. Against the outside of the oar-board a thick layer of cork is applied in brass bands as buoyancy, while four bollards are attached to the oar-board. A steering oar, a common oar and a long pole with a point and a round disc like a ski pole, probably an anchor pole. Scale 1:12.
