About this work

Polychromed stack model (starboard) of a three-masted screw steamship. The gun deck is indicated with seventeen ports, the upper deck is closed. Sharp bowsprit with curl on the stem. Elliptical stern where the national coat of arms is missing, screw light housing; rudder with two-part rudder blade (Lumley's patent rudder; see NG-MC-1167-A & B and NG-MC-1176), on which the rudder stocks are painted. On deck a retractable chimney, caged bulwark. The sheer rises forward, a cutwater. Round bilge. The model has all its bilge keels and portholes. Scale 1:50 (scale on model).
