About this work
Pointed 23 cm shell. The shell is 51.5 cm long and has a caliber of 226 mm. It is constructed of two parts screwed together, allowing the shell to be fitted with its bursting charge. The shell has two ringed driving bands for a rifled barrel with six grooves; the base is domed. At the nose, three shallow holes for the fuze are present.
