Drawing with calligraphed title. Two rows of ships (three-masters), wedge-shaped in line facing each other in the foreground far apart. Ships in the left row are angled forward with bowsprits. Ships in the right row lying with port side facing the left row. At the mast tops numbers are attached to the left row, and letters to the right row. Corresponding with the description under the drawing.
