About this work
Round mast with square top, ears, riding bed, reefing scale and side scales. The mast itself consists of an octagonal mast cap surrounded by eight cheeks; the mast top is composed of the cheeks. The parts are held together by hoop bands. A number of short planks around the mast form a riding bed (missing) at the front and a platform at the back. The side scales, composed of two long parts, are extended as the rear part of the ears; the ears themselves are attached to this with brass bands. A reefing scale is attached in front against the mast and runs under the riding bed.
