About this work

Round mast with round top, cap and ears, shrouds, stays, crosstrees, and crosstree. The mast itself consists of four parts: two heavy ones, one front and one back, form the masthead, connected inside with welds; two thin cheeks round off the whole and are also connected to the masthead with welds. The parts are held together by hoops; black-painted bands also indicate mast hoops. The crosstrees are a thickening of the crosstree. The ears support the shrouds and stays.
