About this work
Round patent glass with a removable grate. The brass flange is screwed onto the deck, the glass screwed into the flange along the underside with the matte flat side up and the clear convex side down; the rim has two handles for turning. The glass can be replaced by the grate. The cast-iron grate is also set in a brass rim with threads and two brackets as handles, to be screwed into the bottom of the flange.
