About this work

Partial frame and partial block model of a keel lighter. It is a smooth-sided vessel with one deck and almost flat, but keeled bottom. Bow and stern are rounded, the sheer is almost flat and the model has a mast. It has a mast with two tackles with two double blocks; behind the mast stand two capstans, in front of the mast two heavy three-sheave blocks are set in a groove in the deck, in which they can move sideways. An unknown part, probably a pump, is missing in front of the three-sheave blocks. On the deck a large number of rings and a set of discs. Deck parts can be removed to show the hold; two hatches give access to the stairs.
