About this work

Polychromed mould model (starboard side) of a two-masted flat-bottomed boat. The planking above the wale is closed and detailed with two swords and two rests with three juffer blocks; railing with gunport in the side near the afterdeck. The deck is closed with an artillery position on the foredeck next to the foremast, a cannon on a roller carriage in the middle aft, an oven, a spit, a servant, a pump, a chimney, various hatches, a cabin, an overhang aft, markings for twelve rowing thole pins; on the gunwale, nineteen rowing thole pins are attached. The bow has a low stem with a figurehead in the form of a crocodile head and a lice platform, and above that a second stem with a curl on which the bowsprit rests. Twisted transom, hollow wale, oval stern with gunport; broad rudder. The sheer rises forward and aft, with one wale and one reehout.
