About this work
Model of a device for mechanical stoking of a boiler; a trough with a movable bottom, operated by a handle with a pawl on a gear, is filled with coal through a small door; the bottom is lifted and the coal is fed from below to the grate; by two movable parts of the grate, a part of the contents of the trough is scooped up each time. Scale 1:10 (derived).
