Model of an Installation for Tarring Rope Yarn

Model of a device for tarring cable yarns. The operation of the model remains unclear. In the middle, a tar reservoir is lowered into the floor. Two cross-beams hold a set of metal plates upright in it: one of them has a slot, the opening of which is regulated by the other moving up and down. On each side of the tar reservoir stands a frame with two spools each; on top of one frame also two tubular guides for the yarns. At both ends there is a large framework, connected at the top by a crossbeam. Here, on one side, two spools with yarns and a crank are attached, on the other three empty spools, one with a drum and crank. On one side stands a three-legged stool with a round top and a pin or vertical axis on it.
