About this work
Model of a chain stopper between two decks, identical to NG-MC-619-1. Consisting of a chute for the chain on a block and running through the port side chain locker, and a heavy devil's claw hanging from a block on the ship's side. A bracket over the chain secures the claw; the bracket is secured with a gaff, which is lashed to the deck beam by a tackle. Scale 1:10 (estimate).
