About this work
Table model showing a section of a deck with a steering mechanism, incomplete. The square rudder head has a steering quadrant, the teeth of which engage with a transverse endless screw; gears transfer the movement of the steering wheel to this endless screw. Below the endless screw is a dial of an axiometer, the gearing of which is missing.
