Model of a workshop with lathe and drilling machine. On the upper floor stands a gear mechanism for the drive. It is driven from below with an endless rope that runs through the ceiling up over the large gear wheel and down on the other side; the large gear wheel is provided with a flywheel on both sides in the form of three arms with weights at the ends. On the lower floor stand a lathe and a drilling machine. The drilling machine is in the corner and is set in motion by the gear mechanism above with a rope. On a sled in a framework, a three-claw is mounted opposite the drill; the sled can be pulled as a whole towards the drill head. A drive belt runs from the drilling machine to the lathe; in it the axle of a chuck is hung, over which the drive wheel is slid. Along the lathe stands a bench that offers the turner protection and support points. Not all details of the model are understood.
