About this work
Model of the upper part of a crosstree foremast with top, shrouds and forestay, the lower part of the foremast, and the middle section of the foreyard. The mast is constructed according to the Seppings method. The purpose of the model is to demonstrate the braces or yardarms that connect the foreyard to the mast and allow it to rotate in any direction, and the stay of the yard, hanging from the masthead. The foremast is supported by two lever stays. Scale 1:10 (according to Obreen).
