Model of a Shrouded Mast with Topmast and Topgallant Mast, on a Baseboard. The Round Mast with Square Cap Is Shrouded with Five Main Shrouds on Each Side and a Double Forestay, and Has Cross-Trees and Fore-Trees and a Goat's Head. The Topmast Is Supported by a Topmast Stay and a Stay on the Forward Cross-Trees, Which Are in a Row of Teeth Against the Foot of the Topmast; the Cap Shroud Is Missing. The Topmast Shrouds Consist of Three Main Shrouds and a Backstay on Each Side. Around the Number of the Topmast Loose Brass Fittings Are Attached, Around Which the Stays Are Wrapped; a Similar Fitting Rests on the Number of the Topgallant Mast for the Topmast Pendants and Stays. The Top of the Topgallant Mast Can Be Removed. The Brass Fittings Serve to Lower the Topmasts Without Having to Remove the Rigging. A Hole Has Been Made in the Baseboard for the Lowered Topmast.
