Model of a 24-Pounder Gun on a Carriage and Slide

Model of a 24-pound cannon on a coastal carriage. The 57 cm long barrel has a caliber of 33 mm. On the barrel the inscriptions are engraved, together with crossed anchors and palm branches. The truck consists of two parallel cheeks with four steps and an elliptical cutout at the bottom, connected by the axle and sole plate. The front axle is attached to the cheeks with brackets. The wooden front wheels consist of two discs. At the rear the model has no normal axle with wheels: the cheeks have a cutout for an axle with levers and a notch under the sole plate, to lift the truck at the rear. The carriage stands on a sledge, consisting of a framework with a spindle bolt in front, and a jack in the middle for jacking up.
