Model of a 20-inch grape cannon with tackle on a traversing sled on a baseboard. The barrel, 57.1 cm long with a caliber of 40 mm, has a cascabel ring with a removable breechblock, a sight with a cap at the rear, a sight at the level of the trunnions and a percussion lock that strikes at an angle; the grape is flat. The upper carriage, narrower at the front than at the rear, consists of two cheeks with two steps, connected by a diagonal knee and the axle boxes; the elevating screw is in the rear axle box. Metal axles run through the axle boxes, on the ends of which the double wheels are attached. The wheels serve only for transporting the carriage next to the sled, but can also be mounted under the sled. In position, the upper carriage rests with the axle boxes on the beams of the sled. At the rear, two small wheels are attached, which act as a jack to lift the rear of the carriage so that the front also rests on two small wheels and is easily brought on board.
