Model of a 30-pound cannon on a sliding and turning sled, on the quarterdeck of a paddle steamer. The wooden barrel is 27.4 cm long, has a flat cascabel with a trunnion ring and a sight on the trunnion band. The upper carriage, tapering towards the front, consists of two cheeks with four steps, connected by a trunnion, a breastwork, and two crossbeams replacing the axle boxes. The carriage has no wheels. The crossbeams are connected lengthwise by the sole plate. The wedge is missing. The sled is a wooden frame, with scepter-like railings attached to the runners on both sides to protect the gunners from musket fire. The turning circles are placed on a raised wooden circle, which is equipped on the inside for two-thirds with a rack: a gear wheel engages here, attached to the rear of the sled, with which the sled is turned, thereby sweeping the entire stern from port to starboard. The runners have small rollers underneath for the movement of the sled over the turning circles.
