Model of a 30-Pounder Gun on Deck

Model of a 30-pound cannon on a wheeled carriage on a ship's section. The wooden barrel, 55 cm long with a caliber of 32 mm, is painted black; it has a sight on the trunnion band, the cascabel is flat at the back and has a trunnion ring. The wheeled carriage, narrower at the front than at the back, consists of two cheeks with four steps, connected by a sloping trunnion, a breastwork with breastplate, and the axle boxes, which are connected lengthwise by the sole plate; the wedge is missing. The wooden wheels are double and all of equal diameter. The ship's section represents a piece of deck with a gunport; the ship's side has diagonal bracing and brass knees. From the baseboard, a beam with a ring can be pulled backwards, on which the recovery tackle can be attached. Five cannonballs and four canisters belong to the loose parts.
