About this work

Psychrometer-type hygrometer with two thermometers in a stand, incomplete. The scale of both thermometers ranges from -12° to +44° Celsius. One thermometer has a sock around the mercury bulb, which is moistened. The humidity of the air can be read from the temperature difference between the two thermometers, caused by the evaporation of the moisture. The base of the stand is weighted with lead.
