About this work

Headgear of blue wool with a base and flap of black leather and linen. Wooden gilded ball, possibly a reproduction (?). Yellow metal 6 (reproduction), loop and button (from shako M. 1842). Orange silk cockade, gold braid and flap (reproduced). Fire-gilded chin straps mounted on velvet backing. Fire-gilded rosettes. On the back of the shako, a yellow metal button for attaching the chin strap. In the edge of the back, two pins. Interior of cardboard, leather and leather lacing.
