About this work

Headgear of black beaver with black velvet band at the bottom and underside. On the underside back, a white metal buckle. Black leather sole and flap (with label residue). Front: eight-pointed white metal star with national coat of arms, white metal storm bands, rosettes, button (with leather label no. 24). Braided white metal loop with orange silk cockade. Dome of white metal wire, oval ball, and tulip of white horsehair plume with ring. Inscription; on front ornament: JE MAINTIENDRAI.
