About this work

The Knight's Cross of the Order of the Netherlands Lion, consisting of a gold-colored decoration with ribbon. In the center of the decoration is a gold-colored medallion depicting the Netherlands Lion. Between the arms are gold-colored stylized W's. On the reverse, the medallion is blue-enamelled with the inscription VIRTUS NOBILITAT. At the ends of the arms are gold-colored ball points. Above the cross is a gold-colored crown attached to a ring. On the ring is the Nassau-blue ribbon with two white faded vertical stripes on each side.
