About this work

Iron state sword. Hilt: pommel with lying and standing figures, quillon with e.g. man and woman figures. Grip wrapped with braided silver wire. Half-quillon. One side ricasso: man and woman figure. Other side two men, a figure in striking posture. Further ass's hoof. Counter-guards on both sides decorated with e.g. drinking and smoking scenes. On both sides of the blade the inscription: x xx x IN x TOLEDO x xx x.
