About this work
Cavalry helmet, iron, blank, assembled from two halves. Long low crest with flared edge. On the back of the helmet an iron quiver. The neck plate is riveted, above it running rivets all around. The front has a chin plate with riveted neck plate, a movable face plate with two viewing slits and a movable visor with air holes at the front that can be closed using a hook on the right side of the chin plate. The visor and face plate are attached with a common hinge on both sides of the helmet bowl.
