About this work
Percussion army pistol, model M 1815. Smooth, round barrel, which transitions into a pentagonal section at the breech. A percussion pan is tapped into the top of the breech. Marked on the breech end of the barrel. Marked on the barrel: IS (with crown above), GB, K (with crown above) and I (with crown above). Lock: Originally a flint battery lock, later adapted for percussion. The brass pan is sawn off. Marked: I, S and crown stacked. Wood: Walnut. Fittings: Brass: At the front of the stock is an openwork sleeve for attaching the barrel; lock plate; trigger guard; butt cap.
