About this work
Percussion army pistol, model M 1815. Barrel: smooth, round barrel, which transitions into a pentagonal section at the chamber. A percussion pan is screwed into the top of the chamber. On the breech of the barrel: M.1815. Marked on the chamber: 1816 and PB. Lock: Originally a flint battery lock; the brass pan has been sawn off. The lock is marked: 26, S, and a crown above each other. (Lock corrected). Wood: walnut. Fittings: Brass: at the front of the stock is an openwork sleeve for attaching the barrel; backplate; trigger guard; butt cap.
