About this work

Officer's saber, light cavalry, model no. 3. Hilt with movable side plate. See no. 298. The scabbard has two scabbard bands with a fixed eye on the upper band. On the blade the mark "Ridderhelm" by Carl Reinhard Kirschbaum (1848-58). On the back of the blade the sword grinder J.F. Seegers (from Breda) and Eisenhauer.
