Flintlock pistol, Garde d'Honneur, First Empire, 1813

Cavalry pistol, late 18th century, flintlock. Round smooth barrel with band decoration, brass sight bead. A five-pointed star on the barrel. Swan-neck cock. Iron pan with spark shield. Brass side plate and brass furniture. Brass palm rest marked `B.4'. Little-worked stock, with a half brass band at the front. Wooden ramrod with a brass plate. The weapon belonged to the third sergeant of the Second Company of the four regiments of the Gardes d'honneur of Napoleon I.
